Psych Hub

Nashville, TN

Senior Clinical Manager

May 2021 - November 2021

Clinical Manager

December 2019 - May 2021

Psych Hub is an online behavioral health education company founded by Marjorie Morrison and Patrick Kennedy. Its mission is to improve the implementation of evidence-based practices and improve clinical outcomes, and to increase mental health competency in the general public, helping consumers and their supports and caregivers, professionals, and workplace leaders be informed about mental health, substance use, suicide, and effective treatment options.

I worked with a multi-specialty team to develop our continuing education courses for mental health professionals, medical providers, and psychoeducational training for the public. I managed the clinical specialist(s) and worked closely with leadership and the clinical and education teams to develop innovative courses from start to finish. This included writing and reviewing course content, collaboration with leading subject matter experts, research compilation, literature reviews, course curriculum mapping and planning, additional asset identification and creation, and some management of process oversight. I oversaw and contributed to the process of developing written supplementary content that entailed writing and reviewing content for PDFs and videos that contained reflection activities for groups and individuals, psychoeducational information, worksheets, and resource compilations. I worked to ensure all content was current, clinically sound, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and consistent with evidence-based research and best practices.

The time of my employment was during the “start-up” phase of the organization, and therefore, all team members wore many hats and contributed in a variety of ways. In addition to my content and product development work, I assisted with internal process development, creating a supportive company culture, and lending a clinician lens to marketing and communications. I reviewed and aided in the creation of social media content and other marketing materials. I gave several live presentations on behalf of the organization and was the company representative for several key partnerships and coalitions. I wrote and oversaw the development of public-facing resources and statements. I championed the creation of the company’s initial internal DEI Initiative and led the steering committee efforts in researching and outlining recommendations for the company’s DEI Strategy. I was a member of the Wellness Committee and held a leadership co-chair, and created internal mental health and wellness resources.
